Jericho Road

For our Multistake Youth Fireside tonight we had Jericho Road come and perform. The YM saved us front row seats so we got to sit together as a ward. Jericho Road's four part harmony was sweet music to our ears and their stories were fun and amusing. Their analogies and testimonies were inspiring. My favorite part of the whole evening was their closing song "Come Thou Fount." It is one of my absolute favorite hymns and they sang it beautifully. (In fact, I may just purchase it off of itunes right now...) What was your favorite part of the evening?

We did the ultimate "fan" thing by asking them to take a picture with us. You can tell Brother Bingham feels really lucky that he got to stand next to one of them! Brother Russell was going to have them sign his chest but he forgot his sharpie. Darn it to heck, right?! Oh well, better luck next time... ;)

All in all a fun evening!

Walking & Playing

Last week's mutual was a combined YM/YW fitness night. The Beehives planned a route for everyone to walk and a routine for everyone to follow where every so often you'd have to stop wherever you were to do some sort of different exercise - jumping jacks, squats, pushups, etc. They walked from the church down the Jordan River Trail all the way to Olympic Park. Once they got there they played like little kids again. :) Working out has never been more fun! Thanks to Emily for the pictures she took with her camera phone!
